Mind Scanners Game Review

You are a Mind Scanner and your job is to help mentally unwell citizens fix their minds! Get rid of pesky things like “personality” and “free-will”! Those things really get in the way of the totalitarian regime! Do a good enough job at rehabilitating these undesirables and the government will let you see your daughter again! Maybe! The general gameplay of Mind Scanners is a series of mini-game like challenges you play if you decide to “cure” citizens of behaviors deemed suspicious. You have complete control in whether you declare someone sane or insane, but of course each choice comes with its own consequences, some to you, some to your patients. Choices matter and there are multiple endings based on those choices. You can do your job and earn your pay, you can break the structure, and others inbetween. There is an extent of resource management that does at times force you to make unsavory decisions. Overall a terrifyingly Orwellian game.
