Bejeweled 3 is probably the best casual game ever. Many people can look at the simple interface and recognize the classic, if not overdone, style of the Match 3 and quickly dismiss it; however, this would be a grave mistake. Bejeweled 3 pushes the limit of Match 3 to its most addicting potential. There are a multitude of other game modes beyond the classic that you may be used to. Take one look at the shiny jewels before you and tell me if you can imagine yourself as an archeologist digging up valuable treasures and atrifacts, or as a savior of butterflies caught in the deadly web of a ravenous spider, or even as a high roller aiming for a full house! All of these and more available to you in the wonderful experience of Bejeweled 3. It even has a Zen Mode for casual gameplay with adjustable binaurial soundscapes and encouraging messages! Real fans of the Match 3 genre know that, while you may get lucky just making the first match you see, there is an element of skill and strategy. An art. In the base game, where you progress through levels you have the unique advantage of keeping all of your “special” jewels. Those being the more advanced jewels you make when matching more than 3 of a kind. Of course the immediate impulse is to use the power of these jewels as soon as you can and watch them wipe out large sections with thrilling animations, but the key is self-control. Holding out and using them when you need them, bringing them from one level to another to another, amassing a cavalry of destruction, then finally lighting up the game with explosion after explosion.

West of Loathing Game Review

A game full of charming dialogue, beautiful art, and many many spittoons. West of Loathing is a slapstick-figure adventure RPG, set in a fantasy western frontier damned by vengeful cow demons, unintelligible goblins, and more snakes than you could reasonably fit into...

Zoombini’s Game Review

Zoombinis is described as an entertaining and educational game, I was first introduced to it in my elementary classroom, but don’t let that trick you into thinking this child’s game is child’s play. The puzzles and challenges get increasingly more difficult as you progress. You loop through the same games many times, they become familiar. Lulling you into a false sense of confidence. “I’ve done this one before, I can do it again!” Fools’ words. This is a hard game, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Hip, Hip, Zoombinis!
