Fishdom: An Aquatic Addiction

by | iOS, Reviews

Okay, so I downloaded Fishdom. Don’t judge me. It was free, I was bored, and the little fishies looked kinda cute. Turns out, they’re surprisingly demanding little pixelated overlords.

The gameplay is your basic match-3 puzzle, but with a twist: you’re not just matching, you’re building a fish tank empire. I started with a sad little bowl and one lonely guppy. Now? I’ve got a sprawling underwater palace with angelfish, clownfish, and even a grumpy-looking pufferfish who I’m pretty sure is judging my life choices.

The graphics are bright and colorful, the fish are surprisingly expressive (they react when you tap the glass!), and the whole thing is oddly satisfying. Like, who knew matching three blue shells could bring such joy?

But here’s the thing: Fishdom is sneaky. It starts out all innocent and relaxing, then BAM! You’re 50 levels in, your fish are starving, and you’re one bad move away from a full-blown aquatic rebellion. The difficulty ramps up faster than a shark chasing a school of sardines.

And the in-app purchases? Don’t even get me started. They’re like sirens luring you to your doom. “Just one pack of gems,” they whisper, “and you can have that adorable seahorse!” Next thing you know, you’re explaining to your bank account why you spent $20 on virtual fish food.

But despite its sneaky tactics and the constant temptation to spend real money, I keep coming back to Fishdom. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a long day. Plus, my fish are counting on me. I mean, who else is going to decorate their tank with a tiny pirate ship and a miniature disco ball?

Final Verdict: Fishdom is addictive, charming, and just a little bit evil. Download at your own risk. But if you do, don’t say I didn’t warn you when you’re 3 AM and still trying to beat level 72.

Bejeweled 3

Bejeweled 3 is probably the best casual game ever. Many people can look at the simple interface and recognize the classic, if not overdone, style of the Match 3 and quickly dismiss it; however, this would be a grave mistake. Bejeweled 3 pushes the limit of Match 3 to...
